  1. MEDLINE Limit Fields

  3. Limit fields, when combined with other search terms, are particularly useful for focusing or limiting a search.  To search a limit field, use the ⌡in≡ or ⌡=≡ operators with the field abbreviation, e.g. 8806 in ud  or ud=8806.  Omitting the field label retrieves information from "free text" fields only.  Numeric limit fields may also be used with other special operators:

  6. ⌡> ≡               (greater than), e.g. ud>8806
  7. ⌡= ≡               (equal to), e.g. ud=8806

  10. ⌡ -≡                (indicates a range), e.g. py=8803-8806
